Reflections of the Keele River, Northwest Territories

“Paddling the Keele River.”

– Photo taken by fellow paddler

“One of my favourite wilderness experiences was a 10-day canoe trip with Canoe North Adventures, paddling 420 km of The Keele River in the Northwest Territories.   The fast moving turquoise water of the river wound us through spectacular mountain ranges and broad valleys giving way to breathtaking vistas around every bend.  The pristine wilderness of this remote part of Canada was truly awe inspiring and left me with feelings of inner peace and joy. I took advantage of light filled evenings and rest days to absorb and sketch the pristine wilderness around us.  Then back in my studio I used my sketches, photos and notes to share my memories of this majestic place.”
